The Aldila MOI Proto™ shaft is designed to maximize the performance of the new high MOI heads. Combining nano technology and a novel design approach called Nano Enhanced Tip Technology™ (NET2), we are able to achieve the increased aMOI (area moment of inertia) required to offset the unique bending and twisting loads high MOI heads have on shaft. The improvement in the aMOI of the lower section of the new MOI Proto™ is done in a manner that also substantially improves the cross sectional stiffness in this section of the shaft, adding even more stability to this crucial area. The new MOI Proto™ also incorporates Aldila’s Micro Laminate Technology™ (MLT) and the tapered profile design philosophy first used in the NV™. This means the Aldila MOI Proto™ has great control, power, and stability, but with that silky smooth MLT feel. |
